Onno is Vistra’s Global Sector Head, Private Equity, responsible for driving the growth of a sector, which is crucial to the achievement of Vistra’s growth ambitions. Onno joined Vistra in 2008 as Principal Relationship Manager, progressing to Commercial Manager in 2012 and Managing Director in 2013. Previously he was Vistra’s Divisional Managing Director, Alternative Investments before taking on the role of Global Sector Head, Private Equity in September 2019.

He has over 20 years of professional and leadership experience, having started his career in finance with Rabobank International on their securities desk. As a qualified lawyer, he joined the international Dutch law firm, Kneppelhout and Korthals, where he specialised in corporate law.  He then joined Vistra where has held numerous leadership roles over the past 11 years.

Onno holds an LLM in Corporate Law from the University of Utrecht and was member of the Dutch Bar Association. He is a Dutch native speaker and is fluent in English.
