Paul joined the Vistra Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee in March 2020. 

He has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, spending most of his career in Asia. He has held senior leadership roles at leading financial institutions and professional service providers, including as a financial services partner at KPMG Hong Kong and Managing Partner of KPMG Shanghai, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, Managing Director in HSBC Hong Kong’s Global Banking Division, and Group Chief Financial Officer of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. 

Following his retirement in 2018, Paul has been appointed to various Independent Non-Executive Director positions, including Dah Sing Financial Holdings Limited, Dah Sing Bank, Octopus Holdings and Octopus Cards Limited. 

He has also served a number of non-profit organisations and is currently a Board Member of Save the Children Hong Kong and Chair of the Finance Committee of Mother’s Choice.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Financial Administration from the University of Bangor in the United Kingdom. He is also a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
